How This Works

What to expect when you apply.

The directory is in its founding phase. Listings are built carefully — not imported in bulk, not published automatically. When you submit your details, we review your application, check that your credentials are what you say they are, and read your bio before anything goes live. If something needs adjusting, we'll tell you specifically what and why.

Most applications from qualified coaches are reviewed within a few business days. You'll hear back either way.

Listing Standards

What we look for.

Founding Coach listings are reviewed before they go live. This isn’t gatekeeping for its own sake — it’s what makes the directory worth being part of. A directory that lists anyone is a list. A directory that maintains standards is a resource.

To qualify for a Founding Coach listing

Minimum two years active coaching practice. Not training, not thinking about it — active paid coaching with real clients.

ICF credential or equivalent recognized training. ACC, PCC, or MCC — or equivalent training from a recognized program with documented coaching hours. CPCC, ORSC, and similar programs qualify. If you’re not sure whether your training qualifies, apply and tell us what you hold. We’ll tell you clearly.

An active Canadian practice. Virtual practices serving Canadian clients qualify — you don’t need a physical Canadian address. You do need to be primarily serving people in Canada.

A complete profile. Photo, full bio, specialties, session format, fee range, and a working contact or booking link. A partial profile doesn’t serve the client — or you.

Bio language that reflects coaching accurately. No therapeutic claims. No guaranteed outcome language. Coaching is what it is — it doesn’t need to be oversold, and overselling it undermines the credibility of everyone listed here.

The review process is straightforward. We look at the application, check that the credentials are real, and read the bio. If something needs adjusting before the profile goes live, we’ll tell you specifically what and why. Most applications from qualified coaches are approved within a few business days.

For Coaches

If you take this work seriously,
this is where you belong.

Life-Coaches.ca is an independent Canadian directory built around editorial credibility — not ad revenue. The coaches here are found by people who have already read enough to know what they’re looking for. That’s a different kind of client than one who found a name on a list.

Basic listings are free while the directory is growing. Featured profiles give you significantly more visibility — and when the site’s traffic is yours to benefit from, that compounds.
