Over the last thirty-five years I’ve worked on both sides of leadership: first as a senior leader in operations and talent management in the investment industry, and — for the better part of two decades now — as a coach to executives across financial services, energy, manufacturing, and food and beverage. Along the way I built a reputation for getting results by aligning people and strategy, and I learned that the human side of leadership drives performance as much as any operating model does.
Clients describe me as a perceptive, empathetic thought partner who sees the whole person and builds trust quickly. I bring a calm presence, deep listening, and questions designed to get past the surface to the real issue. I’m warm, but I won’t smooth things over — I can hold the space while you do genuinely hard work, without judgment and without pressure to have it resolved before you’re ready. With both courage and compassion, I’ll challenge the perspectives and habits that may be getting in the way of your executive presence, your relationships, your team, or your results.
The leaders I work with build on the strengths they already have and take real accountability for what they want to change. Over time that tends to show up as clearer thinking and stronger leadership, more engaged and productive teams, healthier culture, and the kind of communication and influence that helps them be heard and earn buy-in. The insight has to be theirs — I’m there to help them reach it and act on it.
I’m a Master Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, the ICF’s highest credential, certified through Adler International Learning, where I later spent six years on faculty. I’m a qualified practitioner of the Leadership Circle Profile, the DISC Profile System and the Hogan Assessment Systems, and I leverage these tools to sharpen a client’s self-awareness. I also facilitate leadership and team programs in person — interactive, energetic sessions built to make real learning stick.
I was part of the leadership coaching team at a leading Toronto independent school recognized with the 2014 PRISM Award for excellence in coaching. Outside my practice, I volunteer as a facilitator for the Family Connections™ program through the Sashbear Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention.
